About Lisa Lane

“We do not write because we want to; we write because we have to.”

—W. Somerset Maugham

Lisa Lane believes that individual words are like broken shards of colored glass: alone they are worth very little--but when placed together in just the right way, they have the potential to create great masterpieces.  Great literature can take many forms--including the guise of a 300-page guilty pleasure.  Eclectic writing, work that effectively meshes and transcends the rules and boundaries of genre, is what makes the difference between literature and art.

Lisa is not afraid to take chances with her work.  Her stories range from literary, science fiction, and horror to lighthearted comedy, erotic romance, and heartfelt confession.  Her ability to explore new genres, and then find new and exciting ways to make them her own, is what makes her writing so eclectic and unique.

Lisa has written eight novels, eight screenplays, and numerous short stories and essays.
