"I must say, and I mean this is in the nicest of ways, if [Lane] doesn’t scare you, no living thing will." --A.K. Marshall, author and book blogger
Leigh is an avid speculative fiction fan, her earliest influences being The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and works by authors like Stephen King, Kurt Vonnegut, and Edgar Allan Poe. She also writes urban fiction as Lisa Lane.
While much of her work gravitates toward darker themes, she's always pushing herself to incorporate new archetypes and genres including Gothic horror, Orwellian dystopia, urban fantasy, strange fiction, psychological horror, philosophical allegory, and even a bit of poetry. She writes horror from the heart, often using juxtaposition between innocence and evil in ways that breathe life into her own speculative fears.
