"I must say, and I mean this is in the nicest of ways, if she doesn’t scare you, no living thing will." --A.K. Marshall, author and book blogger
Lisa (Leigh M.) Lane is an avid speculative fiction fan, with a special appreciation for dark sci-fi, low fantasy, and horror. Her earliest influences were Dahl, Orwell, Vonnegut, King, Poe, and The Twilight Zone.
While much of her work gravitates toward darker themes, she's always pushing herself to incorporate new archetypes and genres including Gothic horror, Orwellian dystopia, urban fantasy, strange fiction, psychological horror, philosophical allegory, and even a bit of poetry. She writes horror from the heart, often using juxtaposition between innocence and evil in ways that breathe life into her own speculative fears.
